A trip to the Midlands...

Today (Monday 4/27) was a public holiday here, so Alex, her boyfriend Matt and I went to the Midlands. We met up with some of our friends from Church and had a great day. It’s an absolutely beautiful place to the north west of our house. It’s about an hour and a half away and well worth the trip. Matt told me that it’s one of the only places in the area that actually has seasons. Right now, it’s autumn here and much to my dismay it’s COLD!!!!!! Today, at times, I could have been in Vermont or another part of New England. The leaves were changing colors (not as beautiful as VT though) and the air was crisp. We all met at a quaint little area called The Junction which had African crafts, beautiful views and a yummy restaurant. Next, we went to a place called Chocolate Heaven which was a fondue type shop. We all certainly indulged!!! Lastly, we went to a goat farm to have wine and cheese and marvel at the gorgeous views. It was a refreshing day and a nice change of pace! Here are some of my favorite shots of the day…
